Spot A Scammer Before They Spot You!(and steal all your freakin money!)

pretty girl with a laptop computerI’ve been working online for 3 years.  I enjoy making extra money and love to find new ways to make it while working from home.  When I first started I had absolutely no idea how much crap I would have to sift through before I would find the real opportunities that are offered online.  I wasted around 3 months and $500 on programs that were absolute BS – total scams – I wish I had known some really simple tricks to check out anything I want to spend my money on before I just threw it away.  The most important lesson (and sometimes the hardest) is to never trust anyone, you just can’t believe what people say online.  You have to RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!

It’s sad, but there are so many liars and cheats out there making a living from scamming people who want to make their lives better and earn an income working online. They prey on the hopes and dreams of those who believe that the product or service they are promoting will change their lives financially, forever.  Although there are many fraudulent scams on the internet,  there are still websites out there that provide real, valuable information, products, and services that will help people make money online.

If you decide that an online business is the way you want to build your finances, then there are some things that you must know before you spend your hard earned money on a product or service. The first thing you should ALWAYS do before spending a dime is to google the name of the program adding “scam” at the end.  Usually if their are any complaints about a service, program or product it will show up here.

Some indications of a fraudulent site are:
1-No form of contact.
2-No frequently asked questions or help section.
3-No specified guarantee or returns policy.
4-No specified privacy policy.
5-Read all the terms and conditions of any offer very carefully: claims of free or very cheap offers often have hidden costs.
6-Site does not have a legitimate secured site seal of approval. (e.g. – COMODO, VeriSign, Trust-e, etc…)

One way to check if a website is secured by encryption is to look at the actual URL address. If it begins with ‘https’ instead of ‘http’ then the website is secured. The ‘s’ in ‘https’ stands for secured site. For example; https://www.theultimateinternetmillionaire.com/. You may also be able to see a small picture of a lock next to your browser indicating that you are on a secured website. A way for you to be sure of the security of your payments online is if the website offers a Paypal payment option. All payment information is completely processed through Paypal using 128 bits of encryption which is the highest level commercially available. When using Paypal as your payment method you can be assured that your information is protected.

So, now you know a few helpful tactics and tips that will help you beat the scammers at their own game and help weed out fraudulent sites. Just remember to listen to your ‘gut’ feeling and if you think the website looks dodgy, then stay away from it.

20 Best Blog Post Ideas for Small Business Blogging

pretty girl with a laptop computer“So, what do I blog about each time?” is a question I often get from clients. To keep your blog active and healthy, I recommend blogging at least 3 times per week. However, that notion is overwhelming for many. Even though you may be an expert in a topic, your mind may go completely blank when it comes time to blog, and then at other times when you’re not blogging, your idea cup runneth over.

The primary thing to remember is that blog posts don’t have to be long and complicated. You’re not writing an article, a report or a thesis. Many times a blog post is only a paragraph consisting of a few sentences that contain your thoughts about something. Now, doesn’t that sound easier than composing a 600-word post each time you sit down to blog?

Here are 20 ideas you can use to help you create a blog post when you’re stuck for an idea:

1. Current events. Can you link what you do in your business to a current event? Open up your daily newspaper or your RSS news reader and see what’s happening in the world, your country, your state, or your city. Give your opinion about the event and a solution, if you have it, and relate that to your business if you can.

2. Trends in your industry. I read constantly and subscribe to more industry publications than I have time to review. However, there are a handful that I do regularly read, and it’s to those that I look to for what the trends seem to be. When you blog about the trend, put your unique perspective on it, or write a rebuttal post, disagreeing with the relevance of the trend.

3. Get personal. Tell a story about what’s happening in your life or in your business that would be useful or instructive for your readers. Chronicle both your highs and lows, your wins and your struggles. One key to successful blogging is getting personal with your readers. The more “real” you are with your readers, the better your reader gets to know you and begins to like and trust you. You become a “real, live” human being to them who faces similar issues that they face.

4. Top 10. Most of my writing is in the form of a Top 10 list because it’s an easy way for me to outline the points I want to make and then go back and fill in the details for each point. In this case, each of your points for a topic can become an individual blog post, and when all the points are complete, you can compile the full list for an article for your ezine or website.

5. Frequently asked questions. If you’ve been in business for awhile, you know the questions that clients and prospective clients ask you to answer over and over again. Instead of repeatedly responding to the same questions, write a series of blog posts that answer your target market’s most frequently asked questions.

6. How you helped a client solve a problem. Clients hire you to solve a specific problem they’re having, whether they do that when they buy your service or your product. List 3-5 most recent problems that you have helped your clients solve. Create a post that talks about the problem and the solution you provided (either with your client’s permission, or by making it generic enough to hide the client’s identity) that becomes a learning experience for your readers.

7. Interview an expert. What people do you know and admire in your industry? If you admire them, chances are that members of your target market do, as well. Contact them for a short email or recorded interview and ask them 3-5 questions that you’d like to hear them answer about their lives, their businesses, industry trends, or how to solve a particular problem. Publish the interviews as blog posts, adding audio and graphics if you have them.

8. Solicit and answer questions. Ask your ezine subscribers or blog readers to ask you their most pressing question related to what you do. I do this and get questions for 1-2 blog posts per week, and it helps me stay in touch with the needs of my readers, as well.

9. Review something. Read a good book lately related to your industry? Just purchased a product to help you solve a problem? Reviews aren’t limited to the critics at the New York Times. Blog about your experience with a product, book, or service, highlighting both the high points and low points, and whether you would recommend that others use or purchase it.

10. Read other blogs. Go to Google’s Blog Search or Technorati and find other blogs related to your industry or your target market. Add those to your blog reader and take an hour or two each week to read the posts on those blogs. Do you agree or disagree with the post? Have another point of view? Think the blogger was on target but you want to expand on her point of view? Reading other blogs is a great way to generate ideas for your own blog.

11. Keep an idea file. Sometimes a blogging idea or concept will strike you when you don’t need (or want) to blog. Begin a blog idea file by creating a document or spreadsheet to track your ideas and thoughts. If you’re in the zone, go ahead and write the post, and then you can post it to your blog on a day when the idea well is dry.

12. Create a tutorial. There’s always something you can tell your target market how to do. Create a written, audio, or video tutorial of the process as your blog post. Depending on the complexity of the tasks, the tutorial may need to created in multiple parts, like Part 1, Part 2, etc., which would make for multiple posts to your blog.

13. Share a positive/negative email. I often share exceptionally positive or negative emails I receive from people (without names to protect their identity as appropriate) either to celebrate kudos I’ve received or to demonstrate how I responded to a particularly nasty or upsetting comment. I get the most mileage out of the negative emails, and I often ask for feedback about how my readers might respond to the situation.

14. Take a tour. Take a self-made in-person or virtual tour of something useful to your readers. For example, if you’re a dating coach, tour the top 5 online dating sites and report your experiences as a client in each. If you’re a restaurant consultant, visit 3 local restaurants and evaluate what’s often overlooked in staff training based on your experience as a customer.

15. Write about a Twitter or Facebook update. You only get 140 characters in Twitter to write about something. If you need more space, or want to respond in greater length to someone’s Tweet or Facebook status update, do so in your blog. Thought-provoking questions are often asked on Twitter, and the answers may inspire you to blog.

16. Create a “Best of” list. What are the top 7 blogs to read in your industry? How about the top 5 people to watch? What about the 10 most useful online tools you use? Nothing attracts attention on a blog quicker than a list, so create one yourself or ask your readers to help you in the process.

17. Report from an event. Attending a professional trade show, conference, or networking event? You can report live about your experiences at the event on your blog. Talk about the workshops your attended, the vendors you met, the speaker you heard — the sky’s the limit!

18. Debunk a myth. Each industry is plagued with myths and fallacies about success/failure or what does/doesn’t work that the industry professionals would like to see vanquished once and for all. Use your blog to debunk some of the most common myths/preconceptions/notions in your industry and set the record straight.

19. Talk to newbies. Picture yourself as a newbie in your industry once again. What do you know now that you didn’t know then? What questions did you ask? What knowledge do you have that you think everyone knows? Getting back to the basics can help bring all of your blog readers up to speed.

20. Write about a client conversation. Many times I’m inspired to blog as an expansion or continuation of a conversation I had with a client. The blog post focuses on a topic of the conversation, not the conversation itself. Typically the strategy/idea/technique you’ve discussed with one client will benefit your blog readers as well.

This is just the tip of a very large iceberg of ideas for posts to your blog. Take a look around your life, your business, conversations with clients and colleagues, and what’s happening in the world around you. You’ll soon begin to see more potential for blog posts than you ever thought possible!

10 Useful Tips To Attract People To Your Website

young attractive blond with laptopCombinations of two or more of the tips below are being used by many successful sites today. Use your imagination and see what you can do with them. Because there are so many web sites on the internet today visitors are spread quite thinly and web traffic is one of the scarcest commodities on the internet today. Without it your online business does not exist.

1. Give people a free subscription to your newsletter. Almost everyone is publishing a newsletter nowadays so it is important to give something extra with the free subscription. You need to set yourself apart from the other internet marketers out there. This might be done by offering a gift or free advertising when people subscribe.

2. Provide visitors with new and original content. Your content will be more attractive to your visitors if it is up-to-date or original. You could also offer people the option to reprint the content in their newsletter or web site. You will need to change your content frequently if you do this. But the benefits are worth the effort. The search engines will love your site and keep coming back. Your site will rank highly in their results and your visitors will keep coming back for the latest updates.

3. Use PPC directories. You can advertise in pay per click directories. With PPC you only pay when some one clicks on your link. If no one clicks you pay nothing. This method is very good if you are selling a product at your site. It is easy to assess the cost of each sale and measure you success.

There are lots of PPC sites out there now. Google and Yahoo! are not the only ones. You can often get a better deal at these other sites depending on the competition for the keyword you are using. Shop around. There is probably a site out there with your keyword going cheap. But, Make sure that it can deliver the traffic. You can do this by checking its Alexa rank. If it is not getting much traffic itself, how is it going to direct traffic to you?

4. Give visitors a free ebook. You could write your own and include an ad in the ebook linking to your site and allow other people to sell it or give it away. If you don’t want to take the time to write one, you could ask other writers permission to use their articles and assemble an article eBook. Or commission an eBook. There are plenty of writers around willing to write a fresh eBook for you at a fair price.

5. Hold free online classes or seminars. They could be held in your web site’s chat room. The idea of “live” information will entice people to visit your web site. You will become known as an expert on the topic.

6. Offer free consulting to your web site visitors. You could do this via e-mail or by telephone. People will consider this a huge value because consulting fees can be very expensive. Use a separate business line if you use the phone or you will have calls coming in to your home phone around the clock as the world turns. If your site becomes known for this service you may need to employ people to help keep up. If this happens you can bring in a two tier system whereby you have a free service and a paid service offering something extra.

7. Give visitors a free entry into a contest. The prizes should be something of interest or value to your visitors or relevant to your site’s topics. Most people who enter will continually revisit your web site to get the results. Do not be discouraged if the first one or two contests do not set the world on fire. The word has to get out. People will talk to their friends about this site that is running this great contest, and before too long your site will have a name for running contests. There are people out there who really go for that sort of thing and will visit your site regularly.

8. Let visitors download free software. It could be freeware, shareware, demos etc. You could even turn part of your site into a free software area and let other people sell it or give it away from this area. You do not need to produce the free software yourself. There are plenty of sources on the web. All you have to do is link to them. If you gather a significant amount of software of a type relevant to the topic of your site you will make your site a valuable resource for your visitors and they will keep coming back to get more.

9. Offer free online services or utilities. They could be search engine submitting, copy writing proofreading etc. The service or utility should be helpful to your target audience.

10. Give your visitors a free membership to an online club. People like to feel that they belong to something, why not your online club. You could also give away a free newsletter for club members only. The members will very likely want to contribute a large part of its content making it easy to source articles. If you offer them a link back to their own site your members will be queuing up to put content in your newsletter.

It goes without saying that all of the above should be relevant to the topic of your site in order to be of interest to your visitors. Do not keep changing the topic of your site. I see this happening all too often. The webmaster has a site for three months or so and becomes disheartened because his site not taken off as he hoped, so he decides to try a different topic.

Doing so he / she loses the regular visitors he / she had and has to start at the beginning again in the new topic. Also, the search engines will very likely be slow to change to the new topic, confusing everyone who visits from there. It may also affect the PR of the site as the new topic may initially be viewed as unrelated content.

How To Create A Profitable Network Marketing Blog

pretty girl with computer

Blog traffic is one of the most profitable ways to bring in network marketing leads. Here is a step by step guide on how you or anyone can setup a new blog within minutes. The Free Blog Model:

The best blog platform that you can use for the free blog model is using Blogger.com. This model is most suitable for people who are building a home business on a tight budget but is still able to get good blog traffic.

But why blogger and not the free Wordpress blog? Because the administrators at Wordpress are not happy with people making money with their free sub-domains so the best recommendation is to avoid using the free Wordpress model (if you really want to make the best of Wordpress, read the paid blog section below and see why).

Just follow the instructions on Blogger and follow their 3 easy steps – Create a Blogger account, name your blog (in other words your blog URL which will be yourblog.blogspot.com) and choose one of their generic templates for your blog.

The Paid Blog Model:

The paid blog model offers several advantages over Blogger counterparts. Namely:

(1) You have complete control over your content (and hence, your blog traffic)

(2) Your content is not owned by a third party (you have the danger of having your blogs deleted by the administrators or even a spam filer!)

(3) You have more customization power over your theme, plugins and widgets.

This step by step guide will teach you how to drive traffic to your Wordpress Blogs:

(1) Make sure you look for one way links early – go and look for other MLM bloggers using Google and Technorati and offer to either promote their products on your blog or request a Blogroll exchange – remember, people tend to reciprocate once they know you have something useful that you can offer.

(2) Make sure you get some of your blog posts and rewrite them into an article format – this will not only get you traffic and rankings from article directories and Google, but you can also save time on writing an article from scratch.

(3) Submit your blog to some blog directories. Some blog directories require that you have a few blog posts up before they can approve your site – so make sure you have at least 6 posts posted.

(4) Make sure you TAG your posts with relevant keywords. These tags are picked up by the search engines and you can easily be found when people are searching for that particular keyword.

(5) Make sure you write (or outsource) good quality blog posts. You can get a lot of natural traffic through viral marketing when people start talking about your blog posts or if they give you some link love.

(6) Use link baiting strategies to promote your blog. Encourage others to link to you on your blog posts – but make sure you give them an incentive to do so.

(7) Write short press releases and submit those to prominent press release sites. Some press release sites get approved very quickly and you might even see links pointing to your sites appearing on Google News.

(8) Tap into Web 2.0 sites like creating Squidoo Lenses or Hub pages.

Once you’re done, you will be ready to monetize blog traffic and this will work even long after you stop writing content.

Now that your blog is up and running, we will discuss about the best ways to structure your content and how to make money from it.

Firstly, you must drive traffic to your blog. But what are the best ways to drive quick traffic to your blog? Your answer lies in SEO or Search Engine Optimization. (PPC or pay per click is good as well, but you must have a way to track your costs).

Blogs and SEO are inseparable. It is well known that normal websites might take awhile to rank but it is more long term to rank. On the other hand, blog traffic is very easy to rank, but quick to drop. Since we need to make money fast, it is always better to get traffic fast and show some results.

Go to http://www.freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ or https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Type in a keyword of your choice – it could be any keyword from network marketing lead generation, Xango, Amway, Zrii, Herbalife or even network marketing tips. Look for keywords with a high search count and blog about it!

Make sure you include the keywords in your blog post title and 2-3 in the body text and it will start picking up search engine traffic. Be sure to target long tail keywords as well (long tail keyword examples: driving traffic for network marketing, network marketing for moms… remember that lots of long tail keywords will get you more traffic combined compared to the main page of a blog).

Next, you need to select a blog theme that is quite suitable for your network marketing company. The best way to go about it is to choose a theme color that matches your network marketing company’s main website as much as possible to give it a matching feel that is like your company (gives the readers the feel that it is like an authority site).

You can also get traffic from Google AdWords. Although it is costly, you can get a rough idea how the traffic responds to your offers if you have a landing page or a lead capture page setup on your blog. As long as you get about 200 clicks, you will gauge how the conversion or opt-in rate for your blog is like and you can tweak from there.

Lastly, you need to find a few ways for monetization.

Here are the 3 best ways to monetize:

(1) Sell your own information product at the front end. You can write a ten page report (or outsource it at http://www.elance.com) that shares information on your network marketing company’s product. Use it as a tool to build relationships or sell it inexpensively ($7 or $10) for cash flow. It also brands you as an authority.

(2) Promote network marketing affiliate programs such as http://www.HowNetworkMarketingWorks.com or http://www.MagneticSponsoring.com

These programs have really good conversions (in other words, a very high chance to close sales for you) and these programs allow you to strengthen your rapport with your prospects.

(3) Promote your network marketing opportunity or product on the front end as well. With good information sites, you will have targeted visitors. Make sure your company has an affiliate link or page that will allow your customers to easily access the purchase screen.

Blogging is the 21st century way to build your network marketing business. In an age where virtually everyone you meet is a distributor of a network marketing company, you have to learn to differentiate yourself using a personalized medium.

Adsense and Keywords

sexy girl with laptop

I need to start with an analogy to explain the importance of keywords. Your selection of keywords is the ‘heart of your business’ as far as adsense income is determined. The heart, yes the most important organ of your body, not your leg or your wrist, but your heart. If your heart is failing, putting a bandage on your wrist isn’t going to work.

So here is the crunch… If your adsense income has dropped or you need to build an adsense business, then look after your heart. It is the life blood of the system, it pumps the money into your adsense account.

It has taken a few hard lessons for me to understand this principle. This is how I felt the pump, pump, pump send a light bulb moment to my brain. It started when the town I live in lost the internet connection. Phew… I’m sure that everyone has lost a connection for as little as ten minutes and thought their world had ended. But I lost the internet connection for three days. I got on with other stuff as you do, but what I did do is re-read some of the books I had purchased.

Of course, years on from getting more knowledge, to re-read an ebook generally is boring; and most of it was, but I kept stumbling, pausing and contemplating on the keyword section of the ebooks. If keywords are the heart of a business you need to dedicate more time and effort to keep them healthy.

If you are starting out, use the system below. If you already have adsense websites and the income has dropped, you need to be aware that trends change and the keyword you chose a year ago may not be the major one being searched for today. Go through this procedure and add another 250 pages.

We all use the keyword tools available and knock up a 5,000 keyword list in half an hour, spend another hour sifting through and choosing our prime keywords. That’s it we’re done. But… would you take an hour and a half to mould and create a heart and expect to live beyond a few months?

Once your website is up and running, I would guess you must spend 2 or 3 hours a day trying to get traffic to your website. This effort could be a little wasted if your keyword choice is hurried.

Here is the best way to choose keywords to maximize your search engine positions. Let’s assume that you need 250 keywords. Up to 50 of those should be first tier. These should include all the main associated keywords and most important should be ‘high’ paying keywords too. These you can check through either the free Google Keyword Tool or through varying software keyword tools.

These first 50 keywords will be the fiercely competed words and as a consequence you’ll not rank very high for them initially. Yet long term, the optimization, the blogs, social networking and bookmarking should help rise those 50 web pages nearer the top of the search rankings.

The other 200 keywords you choose will be ‘long tail keywords’. You may start with a 1,000 to sift through to finish up with 200. First you need to check each keyword separately. Allocate a day to do this, because the effort you put in now will serve you well. The purpose of checking as I’m going to mention is so that you get onto the front page of Google as soon as the search engines crawl your deep inside pages.

The first thing to check is if that long tail keyword gets traffic each month. Between 50 to 500 hits per month is fine for long tail keywords. Above those hits per month and you’ll probably find that too many other websites are competing for that keyword. Below that amount and you may find the quantity of hits vary from a few hits a month to zero hits.

Once you have a selection that meet the first criteria, then you need to check the competing sites. Is there 2,000 or is there 8? To do this you need to put this search query into Google – inurl:my-keywords – replacing my-keywords with your own of course. Use both variations, with dashes separating the words and without dashes. Make a note of the total of competing websites. Once you gone through them all you can make a decision on which keywords are going to get you on the front page of Google.

Even if your web page isn’t optimized too well, if there are only 8 competing websites, you’ll appear on the front page. This will mean a steady but small flow of traffic 50 to 500 hits per month. Multiply that by the sites with long tail keywords and the minimum you could expect, once the search engines have listed the inner pages, is 200 x 50 = 10,000.

There are also other options to consider if you are adding web pages slowly. Use in the Google search box “allintitle: and allinanchor: keyword”. Extra work, but will pay off in the long run.

A reasonable time limit to expect all 250 pages listed in Google, so long as you’ve done the necessary blogging or bookmarking, should be 4 to 6 weeks; it can be done quicker but more work is involved.

Don’t just rely on Google, you’ll need to submit your site to other major engines as well. Plus if you are by chance one of eight on that first Google page, you’ll need to make sure that your description tag is better than all the other tags on that Google page, as they often use that tag to display to content of the site.

10,000 possible hits per month within the first 10 weeks, not bad for a beginner… Realistically if you shared that with the other sites, you may only get 2,000 visitors enter your site per month, but that is still good. Of course… the visitor who clicks your web site link is relatively targeted by this stage and your conversion rate for clicking on adsense ads could be between 10 to 20%. 10% of 2,000 clicks is 200, which could be worth $50 to $200. The day’s work you spent on sifting these keywords has paid for itself. Then you can expect more of the same the following month. As many adsense professionals have 5 to 20 websites, multiply the expected earning by the websites and suddenly you can see the potential, and I may add this is before you start trying to get traffic. Glory days… if you get the job done right

If you want to become a professional blogger you must consider the following:
1. Patience is needed. Problogging means spending a lot of time and work. It requires that one has a long-term vision.
2. Know your readers. You must target specific audiences in order to build a solid readership.
3. Portray yourself as an expert. Find a niche subject and be the expert in the subject.
4. Diversify. Be willing to try out various ad and affiliate programs until you find one that works.
5. Don’t put them to sleep. Try not to bore your readers. Create good layout, provide plenty of white space, use larger fonts, etc.

A person can earn money as a Problogger, but a good attitude and willingness to work is the key.

10 Explosive Headlines For Superior Sales Results

sexy girl in bikiniWhen you go to the supermarket and stand in line at the checkout counter, do you glance over at the magazines and tabloids to entertain yourself while you wait? I do. I’m a sucker for the headlines because they command attention, make your point quickly across, and prep your prospect for your story.

Think of your headline as a two by four plank of wood. You want to get someone’s attention with it. Do you casually say, ”Hi, take a look at my two by four.” or do you play like Babe Ruth and make a home run across the side of your head.

Now don’t get me wrong, some headlines will have to be subtle, depending on the character of the product and the demographic of the market. But, I’ll tell you now; if a headline doesn’t get my attention, it’s not much of a headline to me.

“Britney Marries Bat-Like Creature!” That’s a headline. How about this one? “Is Your Family Prepared If You Died Today?” That’s a headline with a serious tone but not a screamer. Your headline must tell your story in 3 seconds or less.

There are different styles for different purposes but the goal is still the same. Make your headline fit on one line. Remember the headline “Got Milk?”

Appeal to the reader’s interests. Use your headline to point out a problem the reader has or something you know the reader feels strongly about. Headlines aren’t a good place to list the features of your product or service. Instead, headline the benefit the feature provides.

From time to time, use quotes to enclose your headline. This is more appropriate when the headline asks a question or allows the reader to imagine a distinctive voice. Studies have shown that headlines get better results if they’re enclosed in quotation marks.

Here are Ten Explosive Headline Tips

1. The Question Technique. “Will Your Deodorant Pass The Stress Test?” The question headline speaks directly into the mind of the reader. The prospect becomes intimately involved in the dialog.

2. The Testimonial Technique. The more others tout your product or service, the better your credibility will be. “My Teeth have Never Been Whiter!”

3. The Commanding Technique. These are the classic quotes; such as “Just Do It.” or “Fly the friendly Skies.” They tell you to do something but sound very confident in their assertion that what they tell you is good for you.

4. The How-To Technique. If you were looking for the best way to fix an expensive vase and you ran across this headline, “How to fix an Expensive Vase-” would you stop and pay attention to the article or ad? The How-To Technique is geared to a narrow market.

5. Breaking News Technique. Hit your target market right between the eyes with this one. This is the headline that tells your prospect that something exciting is happening – or about to happen.

6. The Conspiracy Technique. This appeals the secret information that the ad will disclose to the reader. “The Hidden Meaning Behind Body Language.” This technique is great for information products.

7. FREE offers Technique. Many people are interested are looking for a great deal. Make the offer eye catching and unbeatable. The offer should be almost too good to be true. “We deliver in 30 minutes or you don’t pay.”

8. Deadline Technique. This one appeals to the Scarcity principle. If the reader is in need of the product, they can only get it for a short time. For example; “For This Weekend Only!” Use this tactic when you really are offering a product or service for a limited time.

9. The Revenge Technique. You may have seen this one in a similar form; “They laughed when I told them I was ordering in French, But when the waiter came..” This one is the story of the underdog. The story usually garners interest in how it turns out.

10. The Declaration. This kind of headline that tells us something that is taken as fact. “Winston Tastes Good Like A Cigarette Should”; or “Virginia is For Lovers”. We know that cigarettes don’t taste good. They might have another appeal and who knows if Virginia really is for lovers or not? The sentence is very strong and authoritative; therefore commands attention.

People are busy and will find time to notice things that stand out from the crowded field of information vying for their attention. You will need to make the headline like a movie trailer to attract the right viewer.

Make the headline punchy and include subheads and bullets whenever possible. Keep your copy clean and to the point. Don’t insult the intelligence of your reader; if you make a claim in your headline, back it up. There’s nothing worse than getting someone’s attention and then disappointing them. You can push the limits of credulity with headlines as long as you can justify it in the copy.

How To Build My Blog To Make Money On The Internet

pretty girl with computer, sexy girl with laptop

There are so many different things to worry about when you are starting your first blog. Many new bloggers stress about traffic, readers, content and whether or not they will make money on the internet. One of the biggest concerns amongst new bloggers is how they can build their blog up from scratch.

Building your blog up is one of the biggest goals that bloggers have but it can also be one of the biggest burdens at the same time. There are so many factors when it comes to blogging that it can be hard to know what exactly is holding your site back or how you can make it grow. But most of it has to do with trial and error.

Having Good Content

If you are concerned about builiding your blog to make money on the internet, then one of the first things that you should focus on is your content. If you don’t have good content, how can you ever expect to attract any form of traffic? Before you start working on any other tactic to get more traffic, you want to take a look at your content.

If you aren’t sure whether or not your content is up to par, then you might want to ask yourself a few questions. Take a look and see if it is really information that is interesting or appealing to others. It might be a good idea to come up with a list of ideas for new content and then ask someone experienced to review it and give you feedback.

Stand Out From Everyone Else

Your opinion is important when it comes to blogging but at the same time, you don’t want to be over opinionated about topics. You have to stand out for everyone else, and so give them all something to talk about. You want to be original and creative and make them enjoy reading your blog so much that they will want to come back continuously.

You need to have different designs and different layouts from others but try not to take away too much from the main purpose of your blog. You want to stand out from all the others, but not too much so that you don’t fit in. Take a look at other blogs in your niche and try to find a good balance between your own likes and other blogs out there.

A Few Other Ideas

If these things are not really going for you and your blog, then try making yourself known in other ways. You could start to leave lots of comments on other blogs and encourage your readers to leave comments on yours. You may also want to thank the readers that you do have an encourage them to invite others to read your blog.

Like was stated earlier, a lot of building your blog has a to do with trial and error. What works for some may not work for others but the idea is to keep working hard until you figure out how to build your blog the right way.
