Finding sites that have a reasonable method of controlling spam is hard too... I know a few blogging social networks that let spam sit on their websites for days and this isn't cool! Google seems to be inefficient and returns alot of irrelevant results. A good resource that I use to find them is this search engine for <a href="http://findasocialnetwork.com" rel="nofollow">social networking</a> sites.
