It’s Time To Celebrate!!

celebrateI’m so excited I can hardly stand it!  For the first time in 12 years I will actually have some time to myself.  I send the last of my kids off to pre-k this year.  So, I decided I wanted to celebrate a little.  I am going to give someone $100  on the 15th of August.  All you have to do to take part is 1) add my blog to your blogroll and 2) subscribe to my RSS feed – that’s it – Simple! – (Will be paid with paypal)  Make sure you leave a comment on this post letting me know when you have done both.

Janelle from Contest Love – Congratulations!! (I need a paypal email address, please send it through Entrecard)  I numbered everyone from the original comment list, threw the numbers in a bowl and had my son pick one. (Thanks John)

    That is exciting, sending your last one off to pre K. Are they as excited as you are? Will it be a full or half day? Things vary so it seems around the country with how long kids are in school.

    As soon as I finish my comment will ad you to my blog roll, and subscribe. How will you do this, put names in a hat and draw?

    I’m confused, tried to sub by email; but got an error message that it wasn’t enabled? Does that mean at your end, or mine? I’ve never subbed to anyone’s blog before so am not sure about this.

    Hi Sandy – Laila will be going to school ALL DAY – she will be at the same school as one of her brothers, he’s in 5th grade, her oldest brother is started middle school. Lots of changes this year. I think I will put all of the names in one of Laila’s purses and let her pick out the name. I’ll include some pics.
    I’m not sure what is going on with the email subscriptions – I have over 300 subscribers and when I went to checked it myself it worked but I went to double check it and it gave me the same message that you got. (don’t worry I’ll throw your name in whether your subscribed or not)

    Enjoy it, my kids will move out of my house if they want when they get married. Right now I am the primary educator for them. I still have 20 years left with them.

    There is one thing. I subscribe to blogs via Mozilla Thunderbird. I’m not sure if ou know how that works, basically I add your RSS feed to it and it downloads your posts daily, providing a summary and link to the full thing. I’m not sure if that will show up in Feedburner though…

    Good that you’ll have both kids in the same school, that will simplify things for you; and help with the adjustment period too. But, you do indeed have exciting times ahead. I remember those days fondly. But, that was long ago, now my daughter is a teacher rather than a student. sigh
